Wisdom Tooth Extractions Coral Springs
Creating Space for Your Beautiful Smile
If you have third molars that are either trying to erupt or causing much pain toward the back of your mouth, you’ll likely need what is commonly referred to as wisdom tooth extractions. As a more complex dental procedure, it’s often considered a rite of passage for individuals between the ages of 16 and 25. Although once necessary for eating, these teeth no longer serve a purpose but instead only cause discomfort and worsening dental problems. If you need to have these teeth removed, let us know by calling to schedule an appointment.

Do My Wisdom Teeth Need to Be Removed?
Not all patients need to have their wisdom teeth removed. However, you can expect that we will closely monitor the development of your smile during this time to determine if they do need to be extracted. We’ll recommend treatment if:
- The teeth are impacted and pressing against healthy teeth underneath the gumline
- Impacted teeth are causing an infection
- Partial eruption is causing teeth to become misaligned
- Significant pain is radiating throughout your mouth
The Wisdom Tooth Process
You’ll be pleased to learn that Dr. Mihran is a skilled professional who has removed countless wisdom teeth. As a result, you will remain in our office with the same individual you normally trust with your smile.
If your tooth has partially erupted, he will elevate the tooth before grasping it with dental pliers. Gently moving it back and forth, we will wait until the tooth detaches. If it is impacted, we’ll perform a small procedure that requires an incision in the gums to expose the tooth. Removing it in sections, we can avoid further damage to the bone.
